Safety/Border
YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT TO GO! Passport cards are even better as you won’t have to wait so long at the border. We go down on a charter bus with bathroom and video – in 15 years we have never had a safety issue.
What to Bring
You can bring a roller board suitcase full of donations and bring the suitcase back if you like. They need personal hygiene products of course and the kids love sports items and crafts. Please no used clothing. YOU MUST CARRY IT ALL ACROSS THE BORDER ON THE WAY DOWN! Craft supplies are wonderful – anything to create interaction – colored hair spray, sidewalk chalk, arts (Not much candy please)
The Cost
We charge $40 per adult and $25 per child, which will include your lunch (Nothing fancy – we eat with the kids :)) Kids over 6 are welcomed with parent, no one under 16 without parent. If you can’t afford it, drop me an email. Sadly, no refunds once you reserve (we hold the seats so it makes it tough to refund cancels.). Your reservation is complete when you provide payment at
What We do
We spend our day holding babies, playing with the kids and cleaning/making lunch. You’ll get the full story on the way down. Sing up below to be emailed dates for the trips, including pick up sites in LA, San Diego and the OC.
Who can Come
All are welcomed, after age 6. Under 16 must be with a parent. We are not affiliated with a faith center and welcome all beliefs that are respectful of others.

Return times vary. We leave the orphanage at 1:30 and are usually in the OC by 5:30 but the border can get hectic. Best not to have ironclad evening plans on the trip day!
